The Birnam Guest House is a 3 star Visitscotland accommodation offering 5 bedrooms all ensuite, with warm cosy surroundings operated by Adrian and his staff, Jackie and Isla, not forgetting Ailsa the springer spaniel, a popular and friendly companion to all visitors.

The guest house forms part of an old terraced Victorian Villa and has been upgraded to provide bed and breakfast accommodation of a very high standard with delightful en-suite bedrooms, cosy dining room with open fire and conservatory  overlooking our gardens and private car park.

Facing onto Birnam Hill (famous for Shakespeare's Macbeth), Birnam Guest House, Birnam, Dunkeld, has an enviable central location in Birnam village, situated opposite the new theatre and Beartrix Potter gardens and just a few minutes walk from the historic and immaculately preserved village of Birnam. 

Birnam and Dunkeld offers some of the most amazing wildlife viewing in Scotland, thanks to its wonderful location on the River Tay and surrounding woodlands and moorlands.

The Loch of the Lowes nature reserve is only 3 miles away, home to Ospreys, goldeneye and many ducks while the Tay holds good numbers of goosander and red breasted merganser.

The surrounding woodlands and forests are home to many woodland birds such as great spotted woodpecker and treecreeper. Black grouse are numerous on the nearby moorlands and Perthshire is a hotspot for this species which is generally in decline.
